Day 10 ReScript. Happy Valentines

Today, yesterday actually. When we walked into class, our group was the only group there so Wahidah kindly went through our script with us. This session was very productive as she raised a few question that we have never thought of. From answering the few questions, our group actually had a better clearer picture of the video.

Some of these questions that Wahidah raised was "what is the role of the camera during the interview". First responds was........but we have decided that the camera is going to be a Secondary School student who wants to know more about MOI. She told us that we should probably get him to introduce himself.

With the modules that we've done, there were some things that we left out. When we went to Boat Quay for photography, all of us took our pictures using manual mode in our camera. This gave us very good results, we then cannot show the potential students what we have learned, between a good shot and a bad one.
We thought of going back to Boat Quay to re-shoot but Natalya gave us a very good suggestion instead. She said we could just take photos of nature, plants and stuff.

We also showed Wahidah the video clip done by TP Business School- Mass Communications students that inspired us to do our clip for Video Fundamentals. She got creeped out, I think.

When she went to attend to the other groups, I then raised my concerns about our existing video that we have done for Drawing Essentials. I thought that we got a bit too informal. If I were the 'potential student' and I watched that clip, I would think of our group as being not very professional. I also pointed out that if the video were to be shown at the Open House, it would be very crowded and speech sequences would not be heard as conversation but rather, noise. I also said a few stuff about our Mr/Mrs.Smith sequence, I started not to like it. In the storyboard, the interview sequence will show 4 of us, I thought that if we did that, the audience will get confused with who is talking. I suggested that we should zoom in to the faces.
We then changed the whole sequence for Drawing Essentials. We got a main person who will show his/her sketch with a lecturer correcting his/her work. This would enable the audience to get a clear view of what goes on in class and what the key points thought are.

Joel took the liberty of re-writing the script that night. I asked Marge over for dinner as my aunt will be cooking. Later, the two dependent boys wanted to follow us, yes - Joel and Gary (remember our Unidentified F*****g Object) so they bought their own dinner and away we went. Since it was Valentines Day, we bought lilies for my aunt, since it would have looked better than three roses. There were a few dishes which included salad, tortilla, fish and chicken which we eagerly devoured down. OO and ice cream - that came from the supermarket - I learned. We also learned that Joel has not tried many many Singapore local delights which SHOCKED us - this included Hokkien Mee and Prawn Mee and Oyster Omelet and Mandarin Oranges!!!!! Can go angpao walking sommore! Later, we watched a spastic DVD and changed to American Idol!! Where Joshia got kicked out...BOOOO...
So, Joel procrastinated and woke up early at 9 today. THANK YOU!! He then pointed out just now that he did not get to see my room since there was a no enter sign at the door. hah. It was a good Valentines with no boyfriend
